A native of the San Francisco Bay Area, this conceptual artist graduated from California College of the Arts with a BFA in Photography in 2003. Her work at CCA focused on process driven long exposure photography, an exploration of dark places using flashlights and other ambient light sources to illuminate a particular experience. The prints would then be incorporated in an installation of textile, light, and sculptural elements. Self portrature, as well as portraits of others, have always held a large appeal.

She comes from a creative family, comprised of a stained glass artist (Father), a watercolorist (Mother), and an illustrator (Sister). Having always been a creative individual, interested in textile, sculpture, and the performing arts, she finally found her love for photography at San Francisco City College.

Her current work focuses on sound experiments and creative writing, but she enjoys using photography to document performances and other visualy interesting events. Favorite artists include Joel-Peter Witkin, Eva Hese, and Dave McKean to name a few. Her general philosophy is not to take herself too seriously. She works full-time in the non-profit industry, and lives in San Francisco.
